How to Apply for a Turkey Visa

Once you have obtained your visa, be sure to arrive in Turkey well in advance of your planned departure date in order to avoid long lines at the border.

Requirements for Canadian Citizens

To be eligible for a visa to travel to Turkey, Canadian citizens must meet the following requirements:

-Be a permanent resident of Canada

-Hold a valid passport

-Have an onward ticket to Turkey

-Not have been convicted of a crime that would make you inadmissible to Canada

-Not be a danger to the public or security of the country where you are travelling to

Cost of Applying

If you are a Canadian citizen and want to visit Turkey, you need to apply for a visa. The cost of applying for a Turkish visa is $60 per person, which must be paid in cash when you apply. You can also pay the fee online, but it is recommended that you pay the fee in person because processing time can be faster that way.

Once you have applied for your Turkish visa, you will need to provide some documents to prove your identity and citizenship. These documents can include your passport, driver’s license, or other government-issued identification card. You will also need to provide a photocopy of each document that you submit. When you arrive in Turkey, you will need to present your passport and visa documents to the immigration officer at the airport or border checkpoint.
